5 Rounds Swiss System; Time control – Game/2 (2 day option, Rounds 1 & 2, G/90); Rounds: 3-day option – Fri 6:00, Sat 9:00-4:30, Sun 9:00-2:30; 2-day option – Sat 9:00-1:00- 4:30, Sun 9:00-2:30. Satellite locations may be available for Round 1; check website for details. Accelerated pairings may be used.
Entry Fee: $40 if received by April 18, 2009; $50 onsite registration fee; juniors and seniors $25 if received by April 18 or $35 at the door. GM's & IM's free entry if registered by April 18 (sr and jr entry count as half entry). Registration: 4/24 5:00-5:45 or 4/25 8:00-8:45.
Prizes (based on 90 full entries):1st-5th Guaranteed $400-250-150-100-100U2200 $225-125-75-75, U2000 $200-125-75-75, U1800 $175-125-75-75, U1600 $175-125-75-75, U1400 $150-75-50, U1200 $100-75-50, U1000/Unr $75-50. Trophies to first overall, top female, top senior and top junior – all players play in one section. A travelling trophy will be presented to the state with the most entries. The association of the respective state will serve as custodian of the trophy for one year and return it at the next open.
Side Events: GM Yermolinsky simul 4/25 at 2:00 pm - $15 per board; Free lecture for all registered players, $5 for non-players on 4/26 at 2:00 pm.
Other Information: We will host IASCA's Annual Meeting at 8:00 A.M. on Sunday, April 26, 2009. USCF and IASCA ($15 or Jr/Sr $10) required, available onsite, OSA.
